10 Days with Z Image Turbo: My First Impressions

Image
It's been a while since I last posted here. I had a bit of a scare over the past week because my Google account login got messed up, and for a moment I thought my whole blog had been deleted. But I'm back. I've been learning ComfyUI, but in the end I couldn't get FLUX running the way I wanted because my GPU just didn't have enough VRAM. Then I recently discovered a workspace called WebUI Forge Neo, and that pretty much meant I didn't have to keep digging into ComfyUI anymore. (Yippee!) A lot of the old WebUI extensions aren't compatible, which is a little inconvenient. But after setting it up with only the extensions I actually need, I was finally able to use the Z Image Turbo version. As of the day I'm writing this post, I've been using Z Image Turbo for about 10 days. One thing I've realized so far is that Z Image Turbo isn't always better than Illustrious or NoobAI. (That said, I'm just happy I can finally run it locally.) So the reas...

Oops, My Bad! An Important Correction Regarding My Images

Long time no see. I’ll get straight to the point. I just checked and found out that if you download images from my Blogspot, the EXIF data is stripped.   I re-confirmed that both DeviantArt and Patreon preserve the EXIF info perfectly. It’s only Blogspot that has this issue; everything else is fine. I didn't think anyone would bother checking EXIF on Instagram or X anyway since the quality is so low there. I’ve been putting a note in red at the end of every post saying 'EXIF info included,' and now I’m so embarrassed. I’m really starting to realize how clumsy I've been lately. On a side note, all images that have been deleted or removed from my other platforms can be viewed on my Patreon for free. Some images might still be unavailable due to Patreon's own policies, but they seem to have the most lenient censorship standards My patreon link

Today's small discovery

Applying hires fix (hires) has led to an ongoing issue in which an artificial hexagonal texture has been appearing in the results.   This is an image I created when I first started using SDXL Cropped zoom in for a closer look You can find some artificial traces in a hexagonal shape. I realized this issue was caused by the tiled VAE extension, and I haven't used it since. But yesterday, I think I've found a way to somewhat solve the problem. Check point model is : LobotomyMix Image size : 1200x1504 Hires : 1.7 x Crop and resize Now clean. The solution is to increase the decoder tile size value. Default value is 96. Hires before However, there is another problem. It's that the detail is excessive. It appears that a careful adjustment of the denoising strength and decoder tile size values is necessary.
